Some of the Main Registries
Dogue de Bordeaux are not recognized by the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC).
They are recognized and able to be registered by:
*Fédération Cynologique Internationale (FCI) www.fci.be
The Fédération Cynologique Internationale is the World Canine Organisation. It is a governing body over many kennel club registries. It includes 84 members and contract partners (one member per country) that each issue their own pedigrees and train their own judges. The FCI makes sure that the pedigrees and judges are mutually recognized by all the FCI members. The USA and Canada are not members of FCI, but most, if not all registries recognized FCI registries.

*United States Bordeaux Corporation (USBC)

Pet Piercing
Today on a Forum I go to (NOT Ancient Dogues) a new member, today was there second day on that forum. Opened a new thread and stated that they were starting a new business and wanted opinions of what people thought.
The business was piercing pets, cats & dogs ears. The piercing is a silver stud with a silver hanging charm. Well, I don't think I have to say were that thread went. Every post on the thread was against it, and with good reason. Piercings can be ripped out so easily.
When the cat or dog scratches, a claw could get hooked on it.
Cats & dogs wrestle and play fight all the time.
With cats, it's like hanging a shiny, little cat toy from there ear.
If you have more than one cat, that's going to be trouble.
If anyone has any thoughts or opinions on this topic, feel free to comment.
